Baker Backstory

Cheers to a flour covered apron and the best smelling house on the block.

Years ago I brought a pecan pie to a work function. A friend liked it so much they asked me to make them two more! They asked how much to pay, and I said nothing because they were a gift. After they insisted, another co-worker heard and asked if they could get one too. I had no idea what was set in motion that day!

For a few years I baked during the holidays. I offered baklava, pecan pie, and a family recipe called cheese pie. I enjoyed baking love into everything and friends enjoyed the treats I made. In 2023 my husband was laid off unexpectedly. My mind went to work immediately thinking of a way I could help my family without leaving home, I do have three kids after all!

I looked to what I knew I was good at: baking. Confident with the support and encouragement from my family I went all in to start baking. My creativity thrived as I tried new things and added to my menu all the time. I am still learning and I have a long way to go, but I feel like I have found what I love AND what I am good at. I’m not stopping anytime soon!
